ROSE BARKER
Creator and Producer of Project Digno

Rose Barker is a lifelong resident of Salem and has been an active member of Life Church for 15 years. She serves on the church’s video, prayer, and ushering teams. Rose’s interests also include producing videos, teaching Spanish to those in ministry, raising awareness and funds for those with Multiple Sclerosis, and leading mission trips to Mexico. She is also pursing a career in investment banking.

“We cannot be in an optimal place of showing our city the love of Christ without love and servanthood between denominations.” Rose said. For her, Project Digno is far more than an extra curricular activity, it is a labor of love. She specifically heard God ask her to create a video. She began in 2005 by conducting more than 30 interviews of local residents and local Christian leaders and churches in the general Salem, Oregon area. The result was a video she produced titled Project Digno that premiered at the Annual Pastors Appreciation Breakfast on October 2, 2007, in Salem, Oregon.

Project Digno is more than a video; it is a catalyst to activate churches to interact and serve one another and our city. It also encompasses a collection of four sermons written by Pastor Gordon Bergman with supplemental videos and PowerPoint presentations. It is a movement. It is an attitude of the heart.
